The Mahjong
Table
A private chef and an instructor for the length of the game. Small plates arrive between hands so nobody has to leave the table.
Nobody leaves the table
The lesson opens it
One hour of American mahjong, taught table by table. The wall, the Charleston, reading the card. Beginners welcome.
Then you play
Cold plates go out between hands. Hot plates at the break. Everything eats one-handed and nothing marks the tiles.
Your host stays
Walking the tables, settling hands, keeping it moving. Right through to the last hand and the winner's dessert.

See it for yourself
Easier to show you than describe.
Eight courses, named on the tiles
Designed to eat one-handed, between hands, without marking a single tile. Afternoon and evening below — there's a brunch version at the same rate.
Tax and gratuity are added to your quote. Parties over twenty on the sand are priced individually — tell us what you have in mind.
The questions we get
What if nobody knows how to play?
The lesson opens the party and it's taught table by table — the wall, the Charleston, reading the card. Racks, tiles and the current year card come with us, and the cheat sheets are yours to keep.
Your host stays the whole session to walk the tables and settle hands.
Why eight people?
Larger groups are planned in fours so the tables stay even — twelve, sixteen, twenty.
How long does it run?
Want longer? An extra hour is $150.
Can we do it at brunch instead?
Mimosas and spritzes on request, and the coffee runs all session.
What do you need from us?
Two weeks' notice is preferred.
