How it works

Step 1: Pick your service

Once we know what which service is best for you and your group, we just need to know if this is formal or casual, and how many courses for your plated dining, buffet, or brunch experience. Once we have your deposit, your event is officially on the calendar! We will then work with you on your menu selection, and reach out closer to your date, about 3 days prior, to confirm details and get any arrival information. Simple as that!

  • The Plated Dining Experience offers elegant dining in the comfort of your home or rental. Enjoy a multi-course meal with Chef Jojo, by selecting the service tier first, and then a menu to match! Offering 2-7 courses.

    Event Start Time: 6:30-7:00 pm

    Chef Arrival 3:30 pm

    Server Arrival 5:30 pm

    (server required for groups of 6 or more on all plated dining experiences, $150)

  • Laid-back, flavorful meals ideal for families or group dinners at your rental. Includes chef-curated buffet menus with customizable themes. Start with appetizers, then get into the main entrees, with dessert to follow!

  • Wake up to a chef-curated breakfast in your kitchen. From mimosa bars to gourmet spreads, Chef Jojo makes mornings in 30A effortlessly delicious.

    Breakfast Service 8 am - 10 am

    Brunch Service 10 am - 11:30 am

    Chef arrival 2.5 hours before service start time. If you need service to start at a certain time just let us know!

  • Enjoy time with your friends and family while eating delicious food, drinking a paired cocktail or wine, all the while painting your own masterpiece alongside Chef Jojo herself! In this laid back, fun experience, you can select from the following themes:

    You may or may not create something worth keeping, but the memory will be one that lasts forever!

    What to Expect:

    Buffet to Enjoy while we prepare your group paint experience. This food will be available throughout the evening, until food is gone.

    What type of food? We love pairing all of our favorite Tapas & Finger Foods for you & your guests to enjoy all evening! Select up to 4 choices, with additional tapas available for $15 extra per person

    Team arrival 3 hours prior to your class.

  • Learn to cook with Chef Jojo in a hands-on class featuring sushi, gnocchi, or her signature "Top 3" dishes. Includes a full three-course meal.

    Set cost does not require a service tier selection, just picking a menu or type of class!

  • Enjoy a bonfire with buffet at home or on the beach!

    The Bonfire & Buffet service is my favorite to offer!

    If having a special occasion and larger group, having the buffet on the beach may be the best option, or if not wanting to pay for the additional permits & fees that go with having events on the beach, we recommend having your dinner before or after your bonfire back at your beach rental. Either way you cant go wrong!

Select a menu that works best for your event, specializing in organic, Caribbean, Asian fusion, seafood, and vegetarian cuisine, Chef Jojo brings creativity, culture, and balance to every plate. Whether you’re craving bold flavors or clean, wholesome meals, there's a menu crafted just for you, and we are always happy to create a menu just for you, just ask! Once you have selected a menu, submit a booking form with the information, and we will take it from here, gathering all the details to make your event perfect!! Once you have booked and paid your deposit, we will get your menu squared away!!

Hey Guys!!

My name is Joanna Mercado, also known as Chef Jojo. I discovered my love for cooking as a child, inspired by her father and grandmothers in the kitchen. That spark has since grown into over 22 years of professional culinary experience, including time at acclaimed 30A restaurants like Pescado and The Surfing Deer, and SushiPop & PuffnStuff Catering in Orlando, Florida, after I attended Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts.

Fast forward to today, I finally have the opportunity to cook my own dishes, which my menus are made with Mediterranean and Caribbean influences, adding healthy twist to beloved Southern classics, and crafts unforgettable sushi, and lots of fun experiences paired with food!

My favorite events are for large families and bachelorettes, with business retreats coming in 2nd place, only because I have to try to be quiet in the kitchen!

Whether preparing an intimate dinner for two or catering a 500-guest celebration, no occasion is too small or too grand. Every dish reflects Chef Jojo’s commitment to excellence and her joy in creating meaningful moments around the table.
