Privacy policy

How we collect, use and protect the information you share with us. Effective November 5, 2026.

Chef Jojo LLC, doing business as Chef Jojo 30A ("we", "us"), provides private chef and event catering services on 30A and Florida's Emerald Coast. This policy explains what information we collect through chefjojo30a.com, our booking forms, our client portal and our conversations with you, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

  • Contact details: your name, email address and phone number.
  • Event details: the date, time and address of your event, your guest count, menu choices, and notes you give us, such as gate or door codes and parking instructions.
  • Allergies and dietary needs: allergies, intolerances and dietary preferences in your party, which we use only to plan and cook your event safely.
  • Booking records: your signed booking agreement, including the typed signature, date, time and version of the terms you agreed to, and your travel insurance choice.
  • Payment information: payments are processed by Square and Stripe. We see the amount, the date and the last four digits of the card, but we never receive or store your full card number.
  • Messages: emails, texts and portal messages you send us.
  • Website data: like most websites, ours collects basic technical information such as your browser, device and the pages you visit, through cookies and our website platform's analytics.

2. How we use your information

  • To plan, confirm and deliver your event, including sharing the details our chef and team need on the day.
  • To send quotes, invoices, booking confirmations, reminders and receipts.
  • To keep your guests safe around allergies and dietary needs.
  • To answer your questions and provide customer support.
  • To keep accurate business, tax and accounting records.
  • To improve our services and website.
  • With your permission, to send occasional news and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to provide our services:

  • Our team: the chef, servers, bartenders and partners working your event receive the details they need for it. Gate and door codes are shared only with the team working your event, on the day.
  • Payment processors: Square and Stripe, to send invoices and process payments, including pay-over-time options such as Afterpay and Klarna.
  • Travel insurance: if you ask to receive the link, we send you our partner Faye's link. You buy coverage directly from Faye under its own privacy policy.
  • Service providers: companies that host our website, email, documents and records, and our accounting software, which handle information only on our behalf.
  • Event partners you choose: for example a bonfire, rental or nanny partner, only for services you book.
  • Legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect our rights, our team or our clients.

4. Text messages

If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about your booking, your event and your payments. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts at any time. We do not share your mobile number with anyone for their own marketing.

5. Photos

We may photograph the food and the table for our portfolio and social media. We never photograph your guests without asking, and we never name you or the house. Tell us if you would rather we didn't.

6. How long we keep it

We keep booking and payment records for as long as we need them to provide our services and to meet tax and accounting requirements, which is usually seven years. Access codes and event-day notes are used only for your event.

7. How we protect it

We use reputable, secure providers, limit access to the people who need it, and never store full card numbers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

8. Your choices

  • You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, except records we must keep by law.
  • You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, and stop texts by replying STOP.
  • You can set your browser to refuse cookies; some parts of the site may not work as well.

9. Children

Our website and services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children, other than the number and ages of children attending an event and any allergies a parent tells us about.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
